This should be listed under "Ideas I wish they would have bought". Although it never came to be, I still laugh every time I think about Hot Pockets and good ol' Davy Pocket, Kind of the Flavor Frontier.

"Davy Pocket could have been a war hero on the American frontier in 1850, if only he could have found the American frontier. Instead, he’s a 19th century frontiersman who has landed in 2011, making camp behind the strip mall next to the access road along the interstate. He’s not sure why he’s here, but he knows one thing – he’s a survivor. He may not cotton to our power carriages and our fancy radio talkers. But Davy knows his Hot Pockets – “pocket
rations” when he first saw them – and he knows that, “Maybe a man can’t live on bread alone. But when that bread’s stuffed with things like tasty ham and melted cheese, he can come pretty dern close.”
